2017 Chapter Events

The West Point Boat Ride

The West Point Boat Ride is scheduled for June 3, 2017. The boat will be available for boarding at 1:00pm at the West Point South Dock. The boat will depart at 1:30 and return to the South Dock at 4:30.

Member Appreciation Reception

The Chapter Member Appreciation Reception will be held on October 5, 2017, at Corporate Member Mutual of America headquarters, 320 Park Avenue, New York, NY. The Reception will begin at 6:00pm and end at 9:00.

Attendance at the events will be limited and reservations are required for both events. Additional information will be provide at a later date. Please check the Greater New York – Statue of Liberty web site,, for additional information on chapter activities.

Army Women’s Foundation

The Army Women’s Foundation recognizes the value of education and is committed to helping Army women and their children achieve their educational goals and aspirations.  The Foundation’s Legacy Scholarship Program is available to all Army women – active duty, retired, National Guard, Reserve and their lineal descendants.  The Legacy Scholarship program has grown to be a major component of the Foundation’s programming in support of our mission to honor our Army women for their service and sacrifice.

The Legacy Scholarship program offers financial support in four areas: Certificate programs, Community College coursework, Undergraduate Degrees, and Graduate Degrees. Scholarships are awarded only to coursework from accredited institutions and are based on merit, academic potential, community service, letters of recommendation, and need.

The Legacy Scholarships are available for tuition assistance for certification, coursework at community college level or four year academic institutions and graduate schools.

  • Community College and Certificate Program Legacy Scholarships will be awarded up to $1,000.
  • College, University, and Graduate Program Legacy Scholarships will be awarded up to $2,500.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Online application must be submitted and all other supporting materials must be postmarked by January 15, 2017.
