The Greater New York – Liberty Chapter, Association of the United States Army, holds our annual boat ride to celebrate the Birthday of the United States Army, every year near June 14.
The Superintendent of West Point generously provides the yacht and crew. The chapter provides a picnic lunch for a very nominal fee.
There is usually a West Point faculty member or historian along, to provide an interesting and informative talk about the Hudson River and the surrounding areas.
Overall, this popular annual event is a great place for old friends from the Army and other services to reunite, exchange old memories, and just enjoy a great day on the Hudson.
