Obituary, MG Robert Rose

It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of former Greater New York-Statue of Liberty Chapter President MG Robert Rose on April 5, 2015. Please see his obituary below:

Major General Robert R. Rose AUS Former Asst. Division Commander 42nd Infantry Division, Former Commanding General New York Army National Guard, former owner of Rose Fuel, born in Brooklyn, NY to mother, Anita Betty Rocholl and father Charles Hess Rose, is survived by his soul mate and loving wife, Beate Rose; his brother, Charles; daughter, Kelly; sons, Robert and Stephen, 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He resided in Reedville, Va. On April 5, 2016 he lost his battle with AML at age 77. A mass will be held at St. Francis deSales catholic Church, 11:00 a. m. Wednesday, April 13. Family will receive friends 6:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. Tuesday, April 12 at Currie Funeral Home explanation. A wake service will be held at 7:00 p. m.

General Rose will be laid to rest at the Arlington National Cemetery. The hour and date will be announced at a later time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Virginia Chapter, 5540 Falmouth St., Suite 101, Richmond, VA 23230.
